John chapter 20 records the resurrection of the Lord. The Lord rose again from the dead and said to His disciples, ‘He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”’ The disciples of Jesus received the indwelling of the Holy Spirit as a gift from the resurrected Jesus. Jesus made the Holy Spirit indwell in those who believe that the baptism He received from John and the blood of the Cross are for the removal of their sins, and He also gave them eternal new life so that they may live forever with the Lord.
The Bible says that the baptism the Lord received from John is the sign of salvation by which He saved all people from the sins of the world (1 Peter 3:21).
